Judith "Judy" Willis
Sanders
July 4, 1945 – May 24, 2026
Judith "Judy" Willis Sanders, 80, of Marshallberg, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at home.
A private celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 4, 2026, on what would have been her 81st birthday.
Judy was the kind of woman whose love for her family showed in every choice she made and every meal she cooked. Known for her straightforward honesty, you never had to wonder where you stood with her. She had a gift for knowing exactly what to do when life got tough, offering guidance and stepping in to handle the hardest of life's tasks. Her life was a testament to loyalty and the simple, enduring power of showing up for those she loved. Whether it was her dearest family, a neighbor in need, or a friend going through a hard time, she gave the kind of steady, wholehearted support that made people feel truly cared for. She humbly appreciated the generosity she received in return from her community and felt blessed by the kindness that frequently graced her doorway.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cindy Rhinehardt and husband Mike; son, Dean Willis; granddaughter, Krista Simon and husband Greg; grandson, Michael Rhinehardt and wife Staci; great-grandchildren, Owen and Mara Rhinehardt; sisters, Debbie Jo Willis and Mary Anne Nichols; beloved nephews Andre Johnson and wife Heather, and Asa Buck; four-legged companion, Finley; and a multitude of extended family members and special friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Winston "Bubba" Sanders; parents, Roland and Mae Willis; brothers Dewey "Doc", Melvin, Larry "Dipper", and Terry; and sisters Francis, Alicia, Kay, and Jean.
