Joseph Johnson
July 27, 1927 — September 13, 2009
Joseph F. Johnson, 82, of Newport, died Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Carteret General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
He is survived by two daughters, Nora Johnson Gillikin and Johnice Johnson Salter both of Otway; son, Joseph Johnson, Jr. of Bettie; step-daughter, Ginny Lou Wrenn of Newport; two sisters, Mildred Smith and Frances Osborne both of Beaufort; brother, Tony Johnson of Beaufort; six grandchildren, four step-granchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
The family will recieve friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
