Jennifer "JeJe" Renee Buckner

Jennifer “JeJe” Renee Buckner, 41, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Jennifer, known to friends and family as JeJe, was born on April 1, 1983, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Lewis Earl Johnson Jr. and Carol Ann Johnson. JeJe’s strength and determination were defining characteristics evident in every aspect of her life. A hardworking woman, JeJe dedicated her time not only to her family but also to helping others, demonstrating genuine care and concern for those around her.

Je Je’s happy-go-lucky disposition and positive outlook on life made her a joy to be with and her quick wit brought laughter to those around her. Above all, JeJe will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her sons, she was an amazing mother who cherished every moment spent with them.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her sons, Gage Buckner and Seth Buckner, both of Newport, NC; father, Lewis Earl Johnson Jr. of Mason, TN; and siblings, Alicia Hodge (Anthony) of Whiteville, TN and John Richard “Richie” Ruff (Tonja) of Lakeland, TN.

JeJe was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Ann Johnson.
