Jayne Thiese Mitchell, 77, of Newport, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with her cousin, Rev. Janet Carroll officiating.
She is survived by her daughter, Nanci Jane Statler and husband Lesley of Newport; sons, Wayne Jack Mitchell and wife Laurie of Newport and Kent Gregg Mitchell and wife Diana of Venice, FL; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Mitchell Jessup, of CO, Brian Matthew Statler of Apex, Tiffany Marie Statler of Greenville, Kristopher Michael Mitchell of Mayport, FL, Klaire Victoria Mitchell of Newark, DE, Thomas Chung of Venice, FL and Christopher Chung of Ocala, FL and a sister, Paula Thiese Steinert of Sarasota, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Adolph Mitchell, a brother, Wayne Thiese and her parents, Valeda and Frank H. Thiese.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
