Jane Davis Moore, 92, of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

A graveside service to honor Jane’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens in Raleigh, officiated by her nephew, Kevin Moore.

Born on October 17, 1933, in Beaumont, Texas, Jane was the youngest of six children born to the late John and Floy Davis. She was a beautiful Christian woman who loved the Lord and faithfully served at Emerald Isle Baptist Church where she was a longtime member. A gifted musician, Jane especially enjoyed singing in the church choir and sharing her love of music through the beautiful melodies she played on the piano.

Jane took great pride in her yard and garden and loved spending time caring for the flowers and plants she had so carefully tended. More than anything, she treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved, especially her grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lisa Moore and Wanda Moore Bailey (Michael); seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Wake Moore; her son, Don Moore II; two sisters; and three brothers.
