Jane Braswell Allen

Jane Braswell Allen, 75, of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Carteret Health Care.

Jane was born on August 17, 1950, in Winston-Salem, NC, to the late James and Faith Braswell. From an early age, she carried a love for life and a deep appreciation for simple joys, most especially the beach. Whether watching the waves roll in, feeling the sand beneath her feet, or enjoying the relaxed charm of campground beach living, Jane found happiness by the water. Her joy was made even greater when accompanied by her favorite beach tunes.

Jane’s faith was the anchor of her life. She loved the Lord deeply and looked forward to watching every online service from Home Moravian Church in Old Salem. Friends and family knew that her kindness, gentle spirit, and devotion to faith were constants in her life.

More than anything, Jane loved spending time with her family. Whether it was sharing meals, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other’s company, she treasured every moment with her loved ones.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Donald Franklin Allen Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth Michelle Allen (Blake) of Raleigh, NC; son, Donald Franklin Allen Jr. (Deborah) of Bishop, GA; sister, Carol Ann Braswell of Chapel Hill, NC; brother, William Edward Braswell (Patricia) of Wilmington, NC; and grandson, Daniel Franklin Allen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane’s memory to the American Lung Association or the COPD Foundation.
