Jacqueline “Jackie” Zeigler Granger, a beloved mother, Nana, partner, and friend, passed away on April 9, 2026, surrounded by love after a courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jackie grew up in Carteret County and graduated from West Carteret High School in 1977. She carried with her the values of strength, resilience, and kindness throughout her life, qualities that defined her.

Jackie was a devoted mother to her daughters, Tivia (Matthew) and Karisa (Shanna) and nothing brought her greater joy than her role as “Nana” to her grandsons, Austin and Colton. She is also lovingly remembered by her significant other, Randy and by her cherished dog, Chewy.

A lifelong horse lover, Jackie found peace and happiness in their presence, something that reflected her gentle spirit and deep appreciation for life’s simple, meaningful moments.

Jackie faced her illness with remarkable courage and grace, inspiring those around her with her strength and determination. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her resilience, and the impact she had on everyone, fortunate enough to know her.

Jackie is survived by the above-mentioned as well as her parents, Don and Shirley and her two brothers Doug and Steve.
