It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Jackie Nobles West, a devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and treasured friend, on September 8th, 2026 at the age of 75.

A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12th, at Emerald Isle Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Zach Emory. Following the service, the family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a reception and time of fellowship.

Born on September 1st, 1951 in Kinston, NC. Born and raised in Fort Barnwell, NC, farm girl Jackie later moved to Greenville, NC and received her bachelor's degree at ECU. She was a dedicated teacher for more than 20 years. Jackie was proud of her recognition as Teacher of the Year along with coaching Battle of the Books for several years.

Jackie lived a life filled with kindness, generosity and unwavering dedication to her family, church and friends. Throughout her life, even as a child, Jackie was known to always see the good in others and shined a light of positivity on the world.

Those left to treasure her memory are her beloved husband, Kenny West; siblings, Jimmy Nobles and wife Janice, Johnny Nobles and wife Joanne; brother-in-law, Don West and wife Louise; two children, Jason Arthur and wife Kelly, Jaclyn Bates and husband Aaron. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Jack, Will, Sofia, Max, Barrett and Lydia.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Bernice Nobles.

Flowers are welcome, however, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
