Jack Wade Young

Jack Wade Young, 57, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 12, 2025.

Jack was born on June 1, 1967, in Pontiac, Michigan. He dedicated over 50 years to his career of painting, building a successful career as a residential painter. His work brought him joy and fulfillment throughout his life.

A devoted NASCAR fan, Jack particularly enjoyed following his favorite drivers, Chase Elliott and Dale Earnhardt. He was also a loyal supporter of his home state football team, the Detroit Lions. In his free time, Jack enjoyed the thrill of scratch-off tickets, always hoping for the next exciting win.

Jack will be lovingly remembered as a cherished son, brother, and father.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kayla Young; mother, Vicki Messer of Newport, NC; sister, Terisa Young of Newport, NC; and brother, Grant Messer (Jessica) of Atlantic Beach, NC.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Young; father, Jim Young; and brother, Keith Christinsen.
