Iva Griffin Garner, 88, of Beaufort, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Beaufort with Rev. Michael Fields officiating. A private interment will follow.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Beaufort.
She is survived by a daughter, Faye Garner Smith and husband Pat of Charleston, SC; son, Eugene Garner, Jr. and wife Dianne of Beaufort; sister, Helen Griffin Ashba of Williston, SC; two grandchildren, Melissa Smith Morelli and husband Brad of Summerville and Joshua Sellers Garner of Beaufort; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Lee Walden, Katelyn Kree Walden and Ana Marie Monzo all of Summerville, SC; also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Garner, Sr.,and parents, Jessie and Lillie Mae Taylor Griffin.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
