Guy Thomas Maniaci, 71, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

He was born on March 22, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York. He brought a boisterous energy and loud laughter that filled every room. He was deeply loved by family and friends from the many phases of his life - from New York to North Carolina to Florida.

Guy loved boating, working on his houses, and always had to have a project on hand to tinker with. He never met anything he couldn’t fix. What made him Guy, though, was that he showed up for you, no matter what. If you ever needed help with anything, he was the one you called. Whether it was a boat or car that wouldn’t start, something that needed tinkering, or a job that only the most skilled electrician could handle - he was your Guy. He was, and will always be, “that Guy.”

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Maniaci. Two parts of a whole, even in death, they will forever remain loved and known together as “Guy and Di.” He is also survived by his daughter, Christina (Michael) Tyner; his son, Thomas (Tracy) Maniaci; his grandchildren, Addison, Cealan, and Benjamin; his sister, Paulette (Neil) Acquavito; his brother, Frank (Doreen) Maniaci; and his mother, Petrina Maniaci.

Guy was preceded in death by his father, Frank Maniaci.
