Grier Darywin Robinson, 87, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Carteret Health Care.

Grier will be laid to rest privately at Oceanview Cemetery in Beaufort.

A true Carteret County native, Grier was born in Beaufort, NC, on September 16, 1938, to the late Edward and Elma Robinson. He was a skilled auto mechanic and took great pride in the work he did throughout his career. When he wasn't working, Grier enjoyed spending as much time as he could on the water.

He is survived by his children, Letty Robinson (Juanita), David Robinson (Elizabeth), and Buddy Robinson (Terrie); 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Grier was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Murphy Robinson.
