Gloria R. Elwell

Gloria R. Elwell, 97, of Ft Myers, Florida, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

Gloria was born on May 18, 1925, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the late Louis and Florence Bandow. She was employed by the Minnesota Twins Baseball Team for over 20 years. Gloria absolutely loved baseball! She enjoyed many hobbies, which included playing golf and a variety of crafts. Nothing brought Gloria more joy than talking about her precious grandchildren. Gloria will be cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly J. Dunwiddie (Christopher) of Morehead City; sons, Gregory J. Elwell (Trisha) of Clear Lake, Minnesota; grandchildren, Jessica Berreth (Jason), Tiffany Haider (Robert), Rebecca Zimmerman (Curtis), Corey Dunwiddie; Kristen Elwell; and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred “Bud” Elwell; brother, Earle Bandow; and her grandson Zachary Elwell.
