Gary T. Coffey, 79, of Morehead City, passed away Wednesday April 27, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church.
Gary was a British sports car enthusiast and belonged to the local antique car club. He loved to sail and was also a ham radio operator. He especially loved spending time with his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Linda, of the home; daughter, Christy Davis and husband Charles of Wake Forest; son, Kevin Todd Coffey and wife Diane of Peachtree City, GA; brother, Douglas D. Coffey and wife Nelda of Hudson, NC; grandchildren, Logan Davis and wife Ashley, Erin Thornton and husband Cory, Ethan Thompson Davis, Trevor Charles Davis, Matthew Todd, and Samantha Lauren Coffey; and great-grandchildren, Braeden Davis, Faith Davis, Amelia Davis and Julia Thornton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Turner and Lily Juanita Cooke Coffey.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 Friday, April 29, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
