Garry Charles Schriever, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at his home in Brandywine Bay in Morehead City, North Carolina.

Garry was born on October 15, 1948, in Jamaica, New York, to the late Milton Schriever and Lillian Hopman. He proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Navy, showing exceptional courage during his service in the Vietnam War. Garry found fulfillment in his career dedicating 35 years of hard work with Con Edison Electric in New York before ultimately retiring. 

After retiring, Garry moved to North Carolina where he dedicated himself to community activities through his involvement with the local VFW and Moose Lodge. His leisure time often revolved around watching hockey and football games.

Family was paramount to Garry, and he cherished every moment spent with loved ones. His memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Garry will be sorely missed by his devoted wife, Linda Schriever; his loving daughters, Amy Schriever of Floral Park, NY, and Linda Mae Nestasia (Michael) of Longs, SC; sons, Alex Nestasia (Luanne) of Holbrook, NY and Robert Nestasia (Jeanine) of Wilmington, NC; brother, Wayne Schriever of Emerald Isle, NC; cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Sean, Matthew, Brandon, Stephanie, Tessa, Sophia, Brian, and Emily; adored great-grandchildren, Forrest, Sage, and Olivia; and his dog, Molly.
