Furney Mercer
July 14, 1936 — February 13, 2010
Furney Mercer, Sr., 73, of New Bern, died Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Britthaven of New Bern.
Mr. Mercer was a member of Neuse River Baptist Church and was a farm equipment mechanic fro many years.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Cedar grove Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Pittman officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Mercer of the home; three daughters, Barbara White of Reidsville, April Taylor of Jonesboro, GA, and Danielle Mercer of New Bern; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Addie Mercer and a son, Furney Mercer, Jr.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
