Francis "Frank" Winston Wade Jr.

Francis "Frank" Winston Wade Jr., 82, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Carolina East Medical Center.

A funeral service to honor Frank's life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 1st at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Chaplain Rick Brooks. Frank will be laid to rest privately at Bayview Cemetery.

Born on September 30, 1943, in Morehead City, North Carolina, Frank was the son of the late Francis Winston Wade Sr. and Thelma Smith Wade. A true patriot, he honorably served in the United States Air Force and later worked for Civil Service as an aircraft mechanic.

Frank was also a longstanding member of Grace Baptist Church, where he contributed to his community and found fellowship throughout the years.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his children, Thelma Susan Winkler (Mike) of North Wilkesboro, NC, Elizabeth “Betsy” Rachel Mason of Morehead City, NC, and Francis “Frank” Wade III of Morehead City, NC; brother, Dennis Earl Wade of Florida; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Dicky” Wade.
