Faye Kilpatrick Vinson, 83, of Peletier, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
A funeral service to honor Faye’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 15th at Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by her grandson Brandon Jones. Interment will follow at the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through her obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website.
Born on October 22, 1942, in Hookerton, NC, Faye was the daughter of the late John L. Kilpatrick and Georgia E. Kilpatrick.
Faye professed faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church. She was kind and courteous in her community. She was loyal and devoted to her home and family. She was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and determination to always see things through. Faye carried herself with dignity and respect. She honored her elders and revered her in-laws.
Faye enjoyed spending time with her family, who she loved so deeply. She treasured every gathering, every holiday, and every moment spent together. She especially loved Holidays, seasons she filled with warmth and her favorite traditions.
Faye was an elegant woman who always exhibited a graceful appearance, even when working in the tobacco patch. She enjoyed making her home beautiful, especially through her love of yard work and horticulture. She also expressed her love through cooking. Her family will fondly remember her amazing breakfast casserole, delicious stuffing, and the fried chicken that everyone agreed could not be matched.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen S. Vinson of Peletier, NC; brother, John “Keith” Kilpatrick; grandchildren, Brandon Jones and wife Nicole, and Brittiny Stilley, all of Peletier, NC; great grandchildren, Caydon, Selene, Natalie, Walter, James and Paul.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her brother, George L. Kilpatrick. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome.
