Evelyn (Swisher) Mitchell
April 9, 1926 — April 27, 2015
Evelyn Swisher Mitchell, 89, of Newport, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital.
The family will have a private graveside service.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzan Steindorf of Wisconsin and Robin Ainsworth and husband James of Newport; son, Ronald Mitchell and wife Kathleen of Morehead City; two brothers, Harold Swisher of Charleston, WV and Hayward Swisher of Maryland; also seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank N. Mitchell; son, Donald Mitchell; parents, Harland and Mabel Swisher; and three brothers, Ira Swisher, Charles Swisher, and Donald Swisher.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
