Ellen Rouse Buck

Ellen Rouse Buck, 76, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.

A funeral service to honor Ellen’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 10th at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Richard Patterson. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Ellen was born on September 7, 1949, in Beaver Damm, NC, to the late Otto and Cora Rouse. She dedicated many years of her career as a bookkeeper at Blue Bells Factory before retiring, and she also worked at the Morehead City Health Department.

Ellen loved her flip flops, had a passion for collecting lighthouses and always enjoyed the beauty of flamingos. Always ready for an adventure, she loved to travel and embrace new experiences. Above all, Ellen treasured her grandchildren, and their happiness was her greatest joy.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her life companion, Bob Creasman of Newport, NC; daughter, Patricia Buck of Newport, NC; son, Christopher Buck (Holly) of Lillington, NC; sisters, Linda Rouse of El Paso, TX and Donna Way (Terry) of Kinston, NC; brother, Herman Rouse (Faye) of Kinston, NC; and grandchildren, Evan Buck, Ethan Buck, and Tessa Buck.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Rouse, Judy Croom, and Annie Smith, and brothers, Kenneth Rouse, Dallas Rouse and Robert Rouse.
