Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Engleby

Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Engleby, of Broad Creek, was a caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and dog mom. She passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Her memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, December 7th, at Broad Creek Church of God, 394 Broad Creek Loop Rd, Newport, NC.

Liz was born to John and Barbara Beall on May 29, 1964, in Park Ridge, Illinois. The family moved when Liz was three years old and she quickly made eastern North Carolina her home.

The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Liz. She loved spending time on the water with family and friends. When she was not enjoying the water, you could find her relaxing at home with her fiancé and their dogs. Liz was a dog mom who rescued so many from the shelter. Her family and friends will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Liz is now at peace, joining her son, Christopher Morton; former fiancé, Nathan “Tommy” Golden; and stepmother, Emma O’Neal, in death. She is survived by her fiancé, Robert “Rob” Allen Griffin; daughter, Amber Engleby; grandson, Isaiah Rivera; father, John Beall; sister, Amy Beall; stepsister, Sylvia Lewis; and stepbrother David Harris.
