Edith Tuck Ray, 86, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Glad Tidings Church with Pastor Tim Marriner officiating. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Glen Allen, VA.
Mrs. Ray worked as a cook at the Trinity Center in Pine Knoll Shores and the former Mrs. Willis Restaurant in Morehead City. She also worked as a companion for the elderly.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Blackwell and husband Will of Glen Allen, VA; two grandchildren, Elisabeth Madison “Mattie” Blackwell of Glen Allen, VA, and Michael John McLane and fiancée Brandi of Richmond, VA; two nieces, Kathy Nevis, and Pat Nevis and partner Jackie Ward; nephew, Tim Rudder and wife Helen; and dear friend, Bob Smith of Cedar Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Ray; parents, Henry Archer Tuck and Sylvia Mae Tuck; also four brothers and four sisters.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
