Doris Jean Sizemore

Doris Jean Sizemore went to Heaven on July 17th, 2022, formerly a resident of Leesburg, Virginia, recently a resident of Newport, North Carolina.

Doris was born September 16th, 1950, in Frederick, Maryland. She graduated from Brunswick High School and went to work.  She worked for Loudoun Hospital Center for over 50 years in the Housekeeping Department.

Doris was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Adams; sisters-in-law, Joan Adams and Pam Adams; and her mother, Maryland Adams.

Doris’ surviving family members include, Robert Sizemore, husband of 53 years; daughters, Michele Godbey, of Newport, NC, and Melody Wilson of Alexandria, TN; sister, Charlotte Rhodes of Maryland; brothers, James Edward Adams Jr. of Maryland, Ronnie Adams of Pennsylvania, Floyd Adams of Maryland, David Adams of Maryland; grandchildren, Justin Erickson of Tennessee, Danielle Erickson of Tennessee, and Carson Godbey of North Carolina; and great granddaughter, Nyla Rose Erickson of North Carolina.

Doris always had a servant’s heart, she was caregiver to her mother and mother-in-law before their deaths, as well as always caring for everyone including her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
