Doris Beaman Rohloff

Doris Beaman Rohloff, 84, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Carteret Health Care, surrounded by her family.

A memorial service to honor Doris’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 25th at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Jonathon Griffin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Doris was born on January 13, 1940, in Troy, North Carolina, to the late Robert and Bonnie Beaman. Doris devoted much of her life to caring for others, starting a career as a nurse at Rex Hospital, where her kindness to patients left a lasting impact. She continued her vocation at the Carteret County Health Department, eventually retiring. She was a beloved wife of over 51 years to her husband Kenneth until his passing in 2015.

Doris loved spending quality time with her family more than anything. She enjoyed working in her garden and planting beautiful flowers. Doris loved to cook and enjoyed watching cooking shows, eager to learn a new recipe. The holidays were particularly special to her, she loved nothing more than preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved her house all decorated for Christmas with beautiful lights. Doris will be missed by all the lives she touched during her wonderful life.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathy Russell, and husband Buddy of Morehead City; brother, Bobby Beaman of Albemarle; nephew, Gary Beaman of Albemarle; and three grandchildren, Kelsey Russell of Raleigh, Kenley Russell of Morehead City, Bailey Rohloff of Louisiana; and dearest friend, Belinda Codella of Emerald Isle.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Rohloff and son, William Lawrence Rohloff.
