Don McMillan

Don McMillan (67) passed away peacefully January 23, 2026, at his home in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.

Don spent the majority of his career at West Pharmaceutical Services and much of his later years in Emerald Isle, NC.

Don was a beacon of internal strength, moral fiber, and sheer intelligence. He was a master at puzzles, monitoring weather, and pruning trees. He was happiest with his family and dog, and equally quick with a joke as with a life lesson.

Even when faced with impossible circumstances his courage never wavered, giving those who were lucky enough to know him the strength to deal with life's unfair hands. His children and friends can thank Don for imparting his curiosity and love of learning into their lives and being a moral compass to navigate with in times of strife.

He is survived by Mary, his beloved wife of 34 years and children Jake (31), Seth (29), Luke (28), and Leah (26), and brother Gary McMillan. He is also survived by his best friend since 7th grade, Kevin Walsh and their Band of Binge Brothers.
