Dominick John Fico, 87, of Havelock, NC (Formerly Cedar Knolls NJ), passed away on July 4th, 2026.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 26 at 2pm, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock, N.C. All are welcome to attend.

He was born on August 8, 1938, in Florham Park, NJ to Anne and Ralph Fico.

Fico graduated from Bayley-Ellard High School.

He married Anita in 1959 and together they shared 48 years. In his early 20's, he was employed by Automatic Switch Co. (ASCO) as a draftsman and eventually a drafting manager. He retired from ASCO in the late 90s.

Outside of work, Dom enjoyed traveling, golf, and piloting small aircraft and was known for his generosity and his drive to take care of people.

Dom is survived by his son John Fico (Gillian) and daughter Maria Fico Dorn (Kevin), as well as his two grandchildren Kyra Dorn and James Fico. Fico also leaves behind very special companion of 8 years, Wilma Lundt.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Appalachia Service Project (asphome.org) in his memory.
