Debra "Debbie" F. Leathers

Debra “Debbie” F. Leathers, 68, of Havelock, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life honoring Debbie’s life will be held at a later date.

Debbie was born on March 24,1957, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Joseph and Marion Fine. A member of SNL Church in Atlantic Beach, Debbie lived her life guided by faith and love. She was a loving wife to her husband of over 39 years, Mickey, and together they built a beautiful life and family. Debbie took great joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always treasuring the time spent with her family.

She enjoyed cooking delicious meals from scratch, tending to her garden, or taking walks along the beach, which she loved so dearly. Debbie made her house a home and loved spending time with her beloved dogs. She will be missed beyond words, and may her memory be a treasure to all who knew and loved her.

Those left to treasure her memory are her loving husband, Mickey Leathers of the home; sons, Jeremy Baldwin (Stephanie) of Durham, N.C., Joseph Baldwin of Beaufort, N.C., Nathan Leathers (Ardley) of Hillsborough, N.C., Tyler Leathers of Durham, N.C.; sister, Betsy Winters (Danny) of Durham, N.C.; grandchildren, Hailey Creech, Mia Leathers, Lillian Leathers; great-grandson, Grayson Creech; mother-in-law, Lillian Leathers Walker of Cary, N.C.; and her precious pups, Layla, Ryder, Riley, Missey, and Rush.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Baldwin.
