David Spencer
September 18, 1950 — November 1, 2009
David Richard "Pops" Spencer, Sr., 59, of Havelock, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Spencer was a veteran and retired after 20 years of service with the USMC. He worked with NADEP at Cherry Point for 16 years.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Sharlene "Mom" Spencer; three daughters, Denise Marie Myers of TX, Danette Marie Reniger of MI and Crystal Lynn Spradlin of Havelock; four sons, David Richard Spencer, Jr. and Donald William Spencer, both of Havelock , Daryl Spencer of New York and Michael David Spradlin of Havelock ; father, William Chester Spencer, Sr., of New York; two brothers, William Chester Spencer, Jr. of New York and Michael "Mickey" Spencer of New York and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Spencer.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
