Danny Garner, 63, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.
A graveside service to honor Danny’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, September 4th at Greenwood Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Manley B. Rose Jr. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Thursday, September 4th at Munden Funeral Home.
Danny was born on April 1, 1962, in Morehead City, NC, to the late William Larry Garner and Betty Lou Penny Garner. He was a proud graduate of West Carteret High School with the Class of 1980. During his high school years, he worked at the Sanitary Restaurant and later became a manager at the former Charter Restaurant. In more recent years, Danny was employed by Spectrum, previously known as Time Warner Cable, where he served as an installer.
In later years, Danny assisted with the care of his mother Betty as well as caring for his companion Angela. Danny may have been a man of few words, but his quiet strength and kindness left a lasting impression on those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his son, Travis Garner (Nikki) of Amsterdam, NY; sister, Mary Garner Innis (David) of Newport, NC; companion, Angela Arnold of Mill Creek, NC; grandchildren, Daniel Floyd, Kaylee Floyd, Madison Garner, and Emily Garner; nephews and nieces, Garo Eubanks (Alicia) of Newport, NC, Chris Garner and Larry Garner (Griffin), all of Merrimon, NC, Alan Willis (Carole) of Morehead City, Erika West (Brandon) of Nelson, PA, and Jessika Stumbo (Adam) of Hampstead, NC; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, William Larry Garner; brothers, Jerry Garner and Gary Garner and wife Gale; and nephew, Brad Innis.
