Danny Paul Dixon, 60, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 30, 2024, following a courageous battle with Cancer.
A funeral service to honor Danny’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 2nd at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Richard Patterson. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. If you are so inclined, please honor Danny by wearing his favorite color, Carolina Blue. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.
Danny was born on January 8, 1964, in Morehead City, NC, to Donald and Nora Faye Dixon. He attended East Carteret High School and dedicated 20 years of his career to the HVAC industry, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues.
Family was at the heart of Danny's life; he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and friends. A devoted Carolina sports fan, he passionately followed all Carolina teams. Known for his unique frying ability, Danny loved to deep fry his hens, enjoying the process just as much as the meal itself.
During his courageous battle with cancer, Danny served as a beacon of strength and hope, inspiring those around him to persevere and remain resilient. Danny enjoyed a close, personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, which allowed him to make this journey knowing that something better was in store for him and he would invite others to experience that same relationship. Danny’s life will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of love, faith, and perseverance will continue to inspire many.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving wife, Lou Ann Dixon; daughters, Heather Dixon Bissette (Greg) of Randleman, NC, and Virginia Truitt of Morehead City, NC; son, Cody Truitt (Ashley) of Beaufort, NC; mother, Nora Faye Dixon of Beaufort, NC; sister, Suzanne Willis (Roland) of Beaufort, NC; brother, Donald Dixon Jr. of Beaufort, NC; grandchildren, Gabriella LeBron of Cary, NC, Josiah Dudley of Beaufort, NC, Easton Bissette and Caden Bissette, both of Randleman, NC; and fur baby, Sadie.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gray Dixon.
