Daniel Jay "D.J." Savage II

Daniel Jay “D.J” Savage II, 52, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023.

His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 12th at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Luzaminda Savage. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.

DJ was born on December 6, 1970, in Park Rapids, Minnesota, to Daniel Savage and the late Linda Savage. He grew up in the Newport and Havelock area of North Carolina and was a graduate of Havelock High School. DJ had worked as a Master Plumber since 1989 and enjoyed being self employed in his field. When he wasn’t working, DJ loved shooting pool and playing darts.

He is survived by his daughter, Kayla Savage of Morehead City; father, Daniel J. Savage and wife Luzminda of Morehead City; sisters, Christina “Tina” Michelle Tootell and husband Gus of Missoula, MT and Virginia Trinidad Bradford of Elizabeth City, NC; and brothers, Justin Edward Bradford and wife Sarah of Barberton, OH and Joshua David Bradford of Lancaster, PA.

DJ was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Keener Savage and sister, Charlene Martell-Savage.
