Daniel James Rivera

Daniel James Rivera, 25, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, at Carolina East Medical Center.

Daniel was born on May 16, 1998, in Morehead City, North Carolina. He grew up in Newport and later moved to New Bern.

Daniel was a dedicated and skilled carpenter, a role he excelled in within the construction industry. He also worked in the lawn care business where he took great pride in his work.

Daniel was a creative young man who drew and painted amazing pictures bringing every detail to life. His athletic ability was seen on the basketball court where he was a competitive player.

Daniel enjoyed being with his family and spending quality time with each of them. Daniel was an amazing son to his mother and father and an amazing brother to his siblings. He was unbelievably loved by all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his mother, Crystal Hagan of Bridgeton, NC; father, Cirilo Rivera Jr. of Corning, NY; daughter, Myah Gabriela Rivera of New Bern; brothers, Cirilo James Rivera (Ashley) of High Point, Andrew James Rivera of Danbury, CT, and Brandon James Rivera (Jennifer) of New Bern; along with his nieces and nephews who he dearly loved, Isaiah, Carter, Addison, Oliver, and Scarlett.
