Cynthia “Cindee” Charlene Oglesby Lewis, 65, of Mill Creek, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at her home.
A funeral service to honor Cindee’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 1 at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Pastor Chad Graham. Interment will follow at Oglesby Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Cindee was born on October 27, 1960, in Morehead City, North Carolina, to the late Clifford and Joyce Oglesby. She was a woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion, faithfully teaching Sunday School for over 40 years. Through her guidance, love, and wisdom, she touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of faith and compassion. She was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cindee enjoyed worship music, playing with her jewelry, and selling treasures on eBay. She loved being near the water soaking up the sun. She had a special gift for making every occasion meaningful- always taking pride in dressing up before going out, carrying herself with grace. Cindee was an understanding and selfless woman who always put others before herself, offering kindness and encouragement to everyone she met. She cherished her family, her love for them was the cornerstone of her life. Cindee will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charles of the home; daughter, Karla Ralene Lewis Bornman (Jason) of Mill Creek, N.C.; nephew, Jonathan Louis Stuck and brother-in-law, Ben D. Stuck; grandchildren, Cassandra Janelle Bornman, Stephany Judith Bornman Umphlett (Timothy); great grandchild, Eden Elaina Umphlett; and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Benjamin and Essie Oglesby, William and Annie Willis; and sister Iva Joyce Stuck.
