Clara Mae (Smith) Millis

Clara Mae Smith Millis, 93, of Newport, died Tuesday January 3, at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday January 7, at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Conner officiating. Interment to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Clara was a member of Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by two daughters Joyce Hill King of Newport, and Linda Millis Hooks of Newport, a son Robert "Bob" Hill of Newport, NC: a sister Alma Chase of Kinston, NC: a brother Alton Smith of Kinston, NC: nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Carroll Millis.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
