Claire Agnes Cargill, 71, of Havelock, passed away, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with Father Tom Davis presiding at Munden Funeral Home, Havelock. Inurnment will be at the Bourne National Cemetery at a later date.
Claire was an active member of the Women’s of the Elks #264 for many years where she devoted her life helping others around the states where she lived. During the 9-11 attack she served in Texas helping others. She was Past President of the Women’s of the Elks.
Claire was survived by her son: Michael Edward Cargill and wife Bethany of New Hampshire; daughters: Brenda Louise Cargill of Havelock, Jennifer Lynn Cargill-Sargelis and husband David Sargelis of Bogue; brothers: Edward Wilford Roy, Jr. of Taunton, Mass., Vincent Edward Roy of Havelock, Raymond Richard Roy of Taunton, Mass.; sister: Barbara Ann Shea of Morehead City; grandchildren: Peter P.J. Godfrey, Jr., Samantha Agnes Godfrey, Christopher Ralph Godfrey, Madison Ann Cargill, Sidney Olivia Cargill; and one great grandchild: Kaleb Harold Hobbs; brother-in-law; Charles Benjamin Cargill and wife Judy Cargill of Attleboro, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Edward Cargill; parents: Edward and Agnes Roy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Crippled Children’s Hospital or the Veteran’s Affairs.
