Charles “Charlie” Ryder, 44, of Salter Path, North Carolina, passed away on April 3, 2026.

A private ceremony will be held with family at a later time.

Charlie was born on November 24, 1981. He was a man who found joy in working with his hands and had a special gift for bringing old, worn things back to life. Whether it was fixing, rebuilding, or restoring, Charlie took pride in his work and the care he put into everything he touched.

Charlie is survived by his sister, Angela Salter; his brother, Danny Salter, and sister-in-law, Lacy Salter; his nephews, Joshua Salter, Jack Salter, and Sadie Salter; as well as his great-nephew, Finley Salter, and great-niece, Sterling Salter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mattie Salter; brother, Dean Salter; and his beloved dog, Tank.

Charlie will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
