Charles D. Mason
July 9, 1942 — November 12, 2017
Charles D. Mason, 75, of Davis, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, following an extended illness.
A private service and burial will be held for the immediate family.
Mr. Mason was best known in the area as the owner of Mason’s Auto & Truck Center in Smyrna. He started working on cars at the age of 12 and would pursue that passion for life.
Mr. Mason also had a passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and boater. In addition, he had a love for his dogs and his family.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Barbara Mason of the home; his son, Chuck Mason and his wife, Gay Mason of Davis; his son, Paul Mason of Raleigh; sister, Violet Allen of Newport; and two grandchildren, Chandler Mason and Saylor Mason.
