Charles "Gregory" Garner

Charles Gregory Garner, 56, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his home.

A memorial service to honor Gregory’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 12th at Munden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Gregory was born on June 14, 1968, in Morehead City, to the late Jerry and Iva Faye Garner. He was known as a miracle baby because he defied all odds from his very first breath. Gregory’s mother was just five months along when he was born. He graduated from West Carteret High School.

Gregory was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether helping a neighbor in need or offering a smile to a stranger, Gregory never met someone he didn’t treat like family. His presence could light up a room, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his brothers, Frankie Garner (Shawn Licari) of Beaufort, NC, Jerry Lee Garner Jr. of Morehead City, NC; aunt, Glenda Hill Best of Harkers Island, NC; 2 nieces; 4 great-nieces; 3 great-nephews; 2 cousins; and 2 great-cousins.
