Carrie Luerina Brown Moore

Carrie Luerina Brown Moore, 95, of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2024, after a very brief stay at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Morehead City, North Carolina. 

Lou was born on March 15, 1929, in Jamesville, North Carolina, to the late Arnold and Carrie Brown.

Known as "Lou' and "Carrie Lou" all her life to dear family and friends, Lou was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She lived in several eastern North Carolina towns: Jamesville, Williamston, Ahoskie, Edenton and Tarboro; retiring to Emerald Isle with her husband in 2001. Lou was happily involved in family, church, work and civic life for many years.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are a son, George C. Moore of Emerald Isle, with his wife Lori Boyce Moore and their sons, Wyatt of San Francisco, California and Garrett, of Emerald Isle. Also, a daughter, Dale Moore Lynam and husband Gary of Rocklin, California.

Lou was preceded in death, by her beloved husband of 61 years, George C. Moore, Sr., in 2013. And her three brothers, David, Matthew and Clarence Brown.

The family will celebrate her life privately.
