Carolyn Daniels Piner

Carolyn Daniels Piner, 84, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., on Sunday, June 1st at Munden Funeral Home. Carolyn will be laid to rest privately at Bayview Cemetery.

Born on September 15, 1940, in Beaufort, NC, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late Guy Thornton Daniels and Lola Gertrude Daniels. Known for her commitment and dedication, Carolyn worked faithfully at the Sanitary Restaurant for 23 years where she enjoyed her customers and was a friendly face to everyone she encountered. She later went on to work 29 years as a licensing agent at the NC Marine Fisheries, reflecting her strong work ethic and commitment.

In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed travelling, always ready for the next opportunity to explore new places and connect with people from all walks of life. Carolyn will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by her family.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Martin Guy Piner (Michael Spencer); stepsons, Lon Alan Piner and Ronnie Lee Piner; grandsons, Joey Moore Piner Jr. and Jeremy Paul Piner; great-grandchildren, Heidi Llewellyn Piner, Sawyer Grace Piner and Jace Paul Piner; step-grandchildren, Mary Ann Piner Saunders, Jimmy Paul Piner, John Patrick Piner, Ronnie Lee Piner Jr. and Christopher Piner; and special family friend, Allen Brooks.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Joey Moore Piner Sr.; brother, Bob Thornton Daniels; stepmother, Annie Paul Daniels; stepson, Jarvis Moore Piner II.
