Carolyn Crosby Hudson

Carolyn Crosby Hudson, 69, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 25, 2025.

A celebration of Caroyn’s beautiful life will be held at a later date.

Carolyn was born on November 18, 1955, at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC, to the late Alfred Crosby Jr. and Arlene Crosby. She worked diligently throughout her life and retired from the Boys and Girls Club where she was their bookkeeper for 14 years.

Carolyn loved the Lord and was a member of the Church of Christ in Morehead City and Havelock. Her creativity was seen through the various crafts she made and through the beauty she created around her. She loved sewing and quilting, where her meticulous attention to detail created pieces of beauty. Travelling was always something Carolyn looked forward to, whether going on cruises or taking a scenic trip to the mountains, she always enjoyed a fun getaway.

What brought her the greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was their proud supporter, rooting for her grandson at his sporting events and cheering on her granddaughters’ achievements in dance and gymnastics.

Carolyn’s warm spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Chuck Hudson; daughter, Bonnie Lupold and husband Brandon of Newport, NC; sister, Peggy Hinson of Osterburg, PA; brother, Robert Crosby of Pensacola, FL; and grandchildren, Corey Rill, Dakoda Hudson, and Nya Hudson, all of Newport, NC.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey Hudson.
