Julie Brinkley, 68, of Morehead City, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at her home.

A graveside service to honor Julie’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, July 18th at Bayview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the cemetery.

Julie was born on July 17, 1955, in Morehead City, to the late Alvin and Margaret Lewis. She had a passion for the water. Julie loved boating and fishing, finding joy in these activities. Her happiest moments were spent on the water, enjoying the salt air and sunshine. Family was the center of Julie’s world. She adored her grandchildren and relished every moment spent with them and the rest of the family. 

Camping trips were a favorite family activity, filled with laughter, storytelling, and creating memories that will be treasured forever. Julie enjoyed crafting and her creativity knew no bounds. In her younger days, she had a love for singing and filling her home with music. She will be deeply missed by the lives she touched.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert C. Brinkley of the home; daughter, Tiffany Taylor (David) of Morehead City; brothers, John Lewis (Shae) of Morehead City, Jack Lewis (Peggy) of Morehead City; grandchildren, Kenna Claire Taylor and Meryn Taylor.

In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her sister, Lynn Lewis.
