Carol L. Wiemers Fox, 73, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
A memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 12th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. James Daub. The family invites everyone to join them for a reception following the service.
Born on November 8, 1951, in Fairbury, Nebraska, Carol was the daughter of the late Harold and Shirley Wiemers. After completing high school, she honorably served her country in the United States Marine Corps as an Air Traffic Controller. Following her military service, Carol pursued a fulfilling career in Civil Service, where she took great joy in her role as a trainer.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Carol was actively involved with the Cherry Point Ministerial Soft Ball League, and Havelock Tee Ball and Little League. She shared her love and knowledge of sports with numerous young athletes throughout her life.
Deeply devoted to her faith, Carol was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She had a joyous spirit, often expressed through her singing. Carol had a love of the arts and enjoyed her involvement with the Havelock Players Association. Her talents extended to the kitchen where she made delicious meals and desserts for her loved ones. Her creativity was seen through the beautiful crafts she made and the way she lovingly decorated her home. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and her decorations transformed her home into a magical celebration.
Carol will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the impact she had on the lives of those around her.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Stephen Ray Fox Sr.; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Fox of Havelock, NC; son, Stephen R. Fox Jr. (Abbie) of Lancaster, PA; twin sister, Karen Walla (EJ) of Omaha, NE; sister, Cathy Knorr (Don) of Burwell, NE; and 6 wonderful grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Kim Wiemers.
