Carl "Doug" Douglas Lewis, 56, of Beaufort, died Monday January 21, 2013, in Chincoteague, VA.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. David Bruce officiating. Interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
Doug had a great love of being on the water and worked as a commercial fisherman for 37 years. He enjoyed working on hot rods, model cars, boats, and airplanes with his son Cameron. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Beaufort.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Johnise Van Etten Lewis of the home: mother Marlene Ryan Lewis of Beaufort: three children Jennifer Yarborough and husband Adam of Beaufort, Kathryn Rosado and husband Paul of Havelock, and Cameron Lewis of the home: four grandchildren Dalton "Hot Rod" and Holden Yarborough, Elijah and Addison "Sweet Pea" Rosado: and sister Nancy Lewis of Beaufort.
He was preceded in death by his father Carl Thomas Lewis, and brother Brian Lewis.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
