Carl Brown, 77, of Newport, formerly of Ahoskie, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at his home.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Ahoskie Cemetery with Pastor Ralph Rawls and Pastor Allen Causey officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lou Crawford Brown of the home; four daughters, Deborah Brown Barnes of Lewiston, Carol Brown Tilley of Swansboro, Lola Brown Rawls and husband Ralph of Columbia, SC, and Tammy Lou Brown of Tucsan, AZ; five grandchildren, Joey Barnes and wife Angie of Lewiston, Melissa Rawls of Smithfield, Brian Williams of Murfreesboro, David Williams of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, currently serving in Afghanistan, and Ashley Rawls Sparks and husband Blake of Columbia, SC; four great grandchildren, Hailey Barnes and Drake Barnes both of Lewiston, Alice Williams and Lindsey Williams both of Murfreesboro; three sisters, Florence Brown of Maryland, Anna Laura Brown Batchelor of Durham, and Inez Brown Pierce of Wilmington; and brother, Arthur Brown of Ahoskie.
The family will receive friends following the service.
