Calvin Steven Ashley, 60, of Marshallberg passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home.
Family has requested private services
Calvin was born and raised in Down East Carteret County. Graduated from Carteret Technical College. He spent his entire career as a Structural Welder working on such projects as the Atlantic Beach Bridge. Steve loved music and played the guitar. He was a beloved father, son and grandson.
He is survived by his mother, Ann Moore of Marshallberg; one daughter, Michelle Ashley of Atlanta, GA; sister, Diane Howard and husband Eddie of Morehead City; aunt, Frances Yeomans; and Michelle’s mother and family friend Mary Ann Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Ashley; one brother, Richard Moore; grandparents, Wayland and Edna Gillikin; one aunt, Carolyn Lewis.
