Bridgette Golden

Bridgette Robena Golden, 64, of Newport, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Carteret Health Care.

A funeral service to honor Bridgette’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 15^th at Broad Creek Church of God, officiated by Rev. Robbie Strickland. Interment will follow at Broad Creek Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through her obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.

Bridgette was born on August 28, 1959, in Morehead City, to the late Arlen and Georgia Golden. She was known for her strong work ethic, which was evident in her over 20 years of work at KFC retiring as Assistant Manager. Bridgette had a heart always ready to help others. She cared deeply for her community. She loved her home church and enjoyed singing, echoing through the church halls.

Bridgette was a fan and supporter of her Miami Dolphins football team and enjoyed kicking back and watching wrestling. Her collection of pig figurines just made her happy. Bridgette loved being outside in the fresh air sitting in her swing. But nothing brought Bridgette more joy than spending time with her loving family. May her memory be a blessing to all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her sister Millie Golden of Newport; and special nephew, Dallas Grant Golden of Newport.

In addition to her parents, Bridgette was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Arlen Golden.
