Brian David Jackson

Brian David Jackson, 66, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Brian’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 30th  at St. James United Methodist Church in Newport,  officiated by Rev. Joseph Park.

Brian was born on September 15, 1958, in Portsmouth, NH, to the late Ernest and Marie Jackson. After high school, Brian proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for four years before establishing a meaningful career as a custodian at Walmart. His hard work and genuine nature touched the hearts of many, creating lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to know him.

He was an avid lover of nature, Brian found joy in fishing and being by the ocean. He had a passion for gardening and took great pride in caring for his plants. Known affectionately as the "cat daddy," he had a special bond with the number of cats he looked after.

Brian leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 and a half years, Jeannette Jackson; sisters, Margaret Conroy (Joseph) of Shalimar, FL, Elizabeth Wooten (Hubbard) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kathryn Farrington (Michael) of Spring Hill, FL; brother, John Jackson (Robi) of Sun City, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews who Brian was very close with.

In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Jackson.
