Bonnie “Mawmaw” Bellomy, 81, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Born on June 2, 1942, in Huntington, West Virginia, Bonnie was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Naomi Perdue. In 1962, she married her sweetheart, Bob. Bonnie found true fulfillment in her roles as a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated homemaker. She took great joy in caring for their four children, especially for her son with special needs, Jeff. Bonnie always created a warm and welcoming home for her family. She loved the Lord, prayed continuously for everyone, and was very religious.

Known for her appreciation of beauty in every aspect of life, she delighted in the sight of flowers blooming all around. Throughout her life, Bonnie generously shared her gift of helping others and was known for her kindness, compassion, and caring nature. Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tonya Jacks of Havelock, NC; sons, Jeffrey Dale Bellomy and Timothy Shawn Bellomy (Brooke), all of New Bern, NC, and Bobby Ryan Bellomy (Kristina) of Newport, NC; 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Maegan, Zachary, Joshua, Jackson, Summer, and Gracie; and 1 great-granddaughter, Hallie June.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dale Bellomy who passed away in January 1995, and her siblings, Rosalee Lockhart and Charlie “Chad” Perdue Jr.
