Bill Brigman

Bill Brigman Sr., 80, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Community Baptist Church in Newport with Rev. Billy Knot officiating. Interment to follow with military honors at Ameriah Garner Cemetery in Newport.
Bill was a member of Community Baptist Church for over 20 years. He served his country in the USMC, retiring as Administration Chief for MWHS2. He was a father figure to the troops in his unit. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors and was a life member of the Croatan Hunting Club.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dee Brigman of the home; daughter, Debbie Landers and husband J.T. of Maiden, NC; sons, William “Billy” Brigman Jr. of the home and David Lee Brigman and wife Andrea of Newport, NC; brother, Jerry Brigman of Mooresville, NC; and sisters, Betty Jean Coggins of Salisbury, NC and Pamela Lynn Correll of Athens, GA; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jennie Brigman; his daughter, Roxanna Bellomy; and brother, Willard Gale Brigman.
The family will welcome friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, November 11, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
